Visually impaired people in Sweden

Whether you have recently arrived or have lived here for several years, you sometimes need advice or support and would perhaps like to meet other people with similar experiences.

Synskadades Riksförbund (SRF) works to make society more accessible. We are a voluntary organisation. We are not linked to any political party or religion. Our starting point is human rights.

SRF can help you with

• Information about Swedish society
• Tips about where to go for visual aids
• Contact with a support person who speaks your language

As a member you are also offered

Meetings with other visually impaired people
Legal support
Courses for adults and camps for children
Braille courses
Membership discounts and much more.
SRF has five branch associations run by people with immigrant backgrounds.
